Flat fibre is an excellent material for seat weaving and basketry, for the beginner, because it is easy to work with. It is made from durable paper, and is about one-half the price of flat reed. One pound of flat fibre will do one chair seat, approximately 14" x 14". |

Fibre Wicker | ||||||
This quality brown, tightly twisted, one ply paper is excellent for repair of antique "Lloyd Loom" wicker furniture, and is more economical than round reed. Of course, it is not as stiff as round reed, so it would not be recommended for spokes but is excellent for weavers. | ||||||

Wire Rush | |||||
Wire Rush is similar to regular fibre rush, except it has a strong wire running through its center. It is used for repairing the stakes of Lloyd Loom wicker furniture and some new wicker pieces. This paper covered soft wire rush is easily bent with fingers and will hold its shape when bent. Hard wire rush is bent with hand tools, like pliers. Put up in one pound coils. | |||||
